Restorative Kansas is excited to present its 2nd Statewide Conference on Restorative Justice. This year’s theme is Growing Restorative Communities: Cultivating Change by Tending our Roots. We are pleased to feature Keynote Speaker Chief Justice Emeritus Robert Yazzie of Navajo Nation. The conference will also include breakout sessions on indigenous peacemaking; RJ in schools; youth-led efforts; community-based efforts; law enforcement and judicial efforts; and circle process. Other highlights include a commissioned street opera entitled “The Return” featuring Marc Chibitty, written and adapted by Kristen Chibitty and Company, and directed by Ric Averill and Company. The performance features diverse actors, dancers, musicians & storytellers in a Stage(S)Truck Restorative Justice Street & Plains Production.
